What happens to information in the current anonymous checker, before you submit it.

Anonymous pasted-text checks

Your pasted text is assessed in your browser and is not sent to Pausewise servers. The text and displayed result remain only in the open page and disappear when you refresh or leave it. There is no anonymous server-side check history to delete.

Checks not available yet

Screenshot, URL, forwarded-email, and phone-number checks are not available in the current beta. Pausewise does not ask you to upload, paste, forward, or submit those items for checking today.

Free-check marker

After the first anonymous pasted-text check, the site stores a small browser marker that the check was used. This marker contains no message content or risk result. It remains until browser data is cleared. Clearing browser data, changing browsers, or changing devices may reset the free-check limit.

Who can access it

For anonymous pasted-text checks, nobody at Pausewise can access the content because the current checker does not transmit it. If you choose to create an account or contact us, the relevant service and support systems can access the details needed to provide that request.

Deleting account or contact information

To request deletion of information associated with an account or support request, email team@pausewise.madethis.app. We will need enough information to identify the relevant account or request. Do not send passwords or sensitive financial information.
