A plain-English overview of how the current Pausewise beta handles information.
What this beta collects
For an anonymous pasted-text check, Pausewise does not send or store the pasted content on its servers. The page keeps the text and result only in your browser while the page is open. For the screenshot beta, the selected image stays in the browser and is used only to check its file type, size, and preview dimensions. The current beta does not upload the image, read screenshot text, open links, or inspect QR codes.
Browser recognition
After an anonymous check, we store a small marker in your browser so the site can limit the free anonymous check. It does not contain your pasted content. Clearing browser data, using a different browser, or changing devices can affect this recognition.
Accounts and contact
If you create an account, the platform processes the account details needed to provide sign-in and the related service. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include so we can reply.
Questions or deletion requests
To ask about or request deletion of information held for your account or contact request, email team@pausewise.madethis.app. Please do not include passwords, account numbers, or one-time codes.
